OUR STORY
Collinsville Christian Church is an independent Christian Church that was founded in the 1960's with help from the Cleveland, Oklahoma Christian Church. Through the years the church grew and eventually peaked and began to decline, as churches sometimes do.
Things hit rock bottom in 2004 when the original sanctuary burned almost to the ground. Attendance had fallen to less than 25 and many people thought the church was done for good. After all, with such low numbers and no building, what's the use of continuing forward, right?

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15: 1-8; John 3:16)
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. (Romans 3:23)
Jesus Christ will one day reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
But God always has a plan. And from the ashes, He began working to rebuild His church. A new building was constructed debt free. And then, in a way that only God could arrange, a new preacher was put into place and the church began to grow.
Since that time, we have grown from about 25 to a thriving church of believers. And now we have a thriving youth ministry on Wednesday as well. God is at work in this place in amazing ways. We are not a huge church machine, but rather a community of faith. We are a church that doesn't work the way other churches work, but which continues to grow and minister as God leads. We like to say that nothing works the way it's supposed to here, which is why it's clear that this is God's thing and we're along for the journey!
